JK Life Stories is the work of award-winning photographer and storyteller Julie Kay Kelly. Julie’s unique background, fresh eye, and passion for excellence are behind photographs and creative storytelling that admirers have described as “breathtaking,” "unique,” and “creative genius.”
A graduate of Stanford University and The Columbia School of Journalism, Julie spent a decade as a journalist in the magazine, newspaper, and radio industries, covering stories in New York City, San Francisco, and abroad. She started photographing weddings in 2002, and instantly fell in love.
After years of experimenting with blending photography and journalism, Julie founded JK Life Stories in 2007. Wedding photography quickly becoming a cornerstone of her business. Julie’s photographs have been described as artistic, timeless, and beautiful, and have earned awards from recipients including the Wedding Photojournalism Association and WeddingWire.
